The pudding cups would be sooo cool for your Easter Dessert table 😀 My pudding cups had bits of Angel food cake. Flavors consisted of: 1) Chocolate with a toasted marshmallow cap. 2) Coconut cream with a meringue cap (lightly toasted). 3) Banana cream with a whipped cream topping and sliced bananas. 4) Custard and whipped topping (in pretty pastel cups and saucers). I think the possibilities are endless…
I also baked a delicious Applesauce Cake drizzled with caramel sauce (My applesauce and caramel sauce will soon be available for purchase at my Etsy shop village sweets, woohoo!).
Birthdays and Easter all rolled in to one! Village Sweets has been making cakes with an animal theme lately (or insects haha), one trend to another… with Easter having been just around the corner, I am cheating and posting my Easter tarts as well, Oooops.
Haven’t had much time for posting my cakes and sweets adventures, as my desserts will soon be available at a new restaurant opening here in my hometown. I will blog about that as it gets closer to its opening (we’re hoping for Mother’s Day). Been a busy baking bee. I will try to catch up when I have a free moment. These are my new “Hibiscus” flowers for my Etsy shop. I pretty much do them in any color possible and quite a few sizes.
Easter will be coming in a few short weeks, so I need to start thinking up what I will be doing for that weekend 🙂
All the drama a Diva could ask for…Leopard & Bling was the theme for this cake made for Lauren. A Vanilla Cake with Swiss Meringue Buttercream and a Mocha Cream Filling between layers. A hand painted Leopard print in tan’s blacks and a shiny gold. I made this look like a pretty package topped off with black fondant ribbon and a gumpaste black bow and to add that final touch some edible sparkly gems! Purrrrfect dahling!
Created a Despicable Me Minion cake for a Minion & hockey lover, a Montreal Habs hockey lover at that! At least she has good taste lol! First time making a minion, hopefully won’t be the last. They are so adorable, I just wanted to hug him, but I guess that would not be such a good idea, so I guess you could say I just wanted to EAT him!

Trying out some Macarons today, practice makes perfect right?? Made a Pistachio Macarons with a Chocolate Filling and a Blue Macarons with a Cherry Filling. Could have been higher but they still tasted pretty awesome 🙂
